Black Out Revealed

And yes, the last map for the Legendary Map Pack has been revealed. The Map Pack will be put on the marketplace April 15th for 800 MS Points. To see the other articles on the other map releases click on the links below.

Now, back to the real deal.

Well, Blackout is a remake of the Halo 2 Lockout. This time, Bungie has made it so it is a UNSC Weather Station in the middle of the artic freeze.

The equipment on this map is very very very very very very very…. you get the point. It’s very llimited. There is only one bubble drain, regenerator, and power drain.

Blackout is made for mostly Team Slayer, Slayer, and some objective games. Objective games is still not that great due to the fact that it is mid-range combat.

Finally, Blackout is perfect for the Assault Rifle. They were meant to be together. Like mac and cheese, peanut butter and jelly, chocolate and milk, and i can go on forever. There is also more of the cooler, dangerous jumps that you can accomplish, or atleast ry before you go flying off the map.

Team Swat DoubleEXP Weekend

Added on to our newly found Avalanche map release, we have a new surprise. Well it might be a surprise to some of you and other not…but who cares. Bungie has added a DoubleEXP Weekend Playlist, again. But thats a good thing, isn’t it. Anyway this time it is not Grifball you will be playing, it is Team Swat. Yes, its that game when you run around with no radar, no shield, and a BR, and Magnum with infinite bullets. Thats Team Swat! But Team Swat is pretty fun and gives you a little practice with the BR. Unless your a bad sport and wont play Team Swat cause you suck at it. Is that you? Well, you better think about that one. Have fun with your new weekend playlist and HAPPY EASTER TO YOU CHRISTIANS! and other people who celebrate Easter. I don’t know the rest. Sorry.

Avalanche Revealed

Avalanche is the 2nd map pack in the Legendary Map Pack which will be reaching the marketplace on the 15th of April. Finally a release date and the map we were waiting for. This map is based off of the Halo: CE map called Sidewinder but they added a lot of cool new features.

Bungie states that the map is a sort-of power plant type of deal when the power comes from within the snow. The map is a “U” shaped so it will be hard to get to the other base by foot, but they fixed that problem. They have added a new kind of man cannons (larger) as you can see in the pic above. (There are three) Besides the man cannons they also added a variety of cool Covenant and Human vehicles. There are also some unique forge objects that will work with Avalanche perfectly.

The gametypes for Avalanche would be BTB, Objective being CTF, Neutral Assault, and Territories.

Also to make objective games more interesting they gave the assaulting team all human vehicles, and the other team all Covenant vehicles.

Some of you have already seen my machinima i made using a video camera. (pretty crappy) I think it would be good if  it was captured and had dialogue. I am looking for the following positions for my series.

Storyline: A new disease has spread out across the regions of Halo. It is called Splatteritus. This sort of humorous series is about a character who is hired by a evil villiain to destroy the virus so there is no way any one can stop him.

This is Falco’s Elite sidekick. Co- Star

This is a spartan trying to defend the disease but some things get twisted. Co – Star

There will be up to five and they just splatter people.

HC Community Up and Running!

Right now I have just finished creating the community for Halo Crazed! YEAH! So if you would like to register or just stop by, click on the little HC Community button to the right. Its big and green so if you can’t find it just give up, and go to the eye doctor. The forums are still being created, and I wont make tons of updates unless a lot of people will join the forums. Gears of War 2?

At the Microsoft GDC Keynote, they announced that Gears of War 2 is coming! Late this November GOW2 will be coming to the Xbox 360! Not the PS3!

Now on the marketplace are a theme and gamer pictures. Also you can download the trailer, or pre-order it.  GOW2 Trailer is below.

Ghost Town Revealed

H3P Spring Smash Grifball Tourney

I am pleased to announce a Grifball tournament that we are planning to start sometime in early march. The tournament will consist of 6 round robin games (5 within conference and 1 outside of your conference), and an 8 team medal round. The finals will be a 3 game playoff, with both the winning and losing team receiving prizes.

Here is the forum where sign-ups and all other dealings with the tournament will take place.

And here is the rules thread in that forum. It is taken largely from Rooster Teeth’s league rules, but there are some key changes (prizes, etc).

We’re hoping for 20 total teams in the league, split into two conferences (named Hammer and Sword), so get your team in early. Preference will be given for active teams on the Rooster Teeth Grifball forums and active members of the Halo3Planet.com forums.

Prizes are as follows:

1. The first place team’s roster during the final match-ups will receive a Microsoft Points card (We’re estimating 500 MS Points each).
2. The team finishing second overall will receive 500 MS Points each for their final roster only.
3. Both finalist teams will receive the rank of “Grifballer” on the Halo3Planet forums, regardless of whether they actually played in the final games.
4. A tournament MVP will be chosen from the two finalist teams, and they will be awarded a year’s subscription to OXM (Official XBox Magazine).
5. A prize of a Bungie Pro year subscription will be awarded to the Team Captain who schedules and plays all of his/her games before any other team has completed their schedule as an incentive for teams to schedule games early and on time. If the tournament round robin has been completed early, the playoffs will start early.
6. We’re trying to organize some nifty shirts with our Grifball Spring Smash ‘08 logo, and will hopefully be giving out a few of those to deserving players as well.
7. Prizes may change for better or worse. We’re having trouble gifting MS Points now that Microsoft canceled that service.

Valentines Day Playlist
